 Why is reading important?

Reading forms the foundation of everything. Without being able to read:

How do you fill out an application form for a job or a house?

How to do train to be a nurse or an engineer or work in an office?

How do you check your writing makes sense?

Evidence suggests that children who read for enjoyment every day not only perform better in reading tests than those who don’t, but also develop a broader vocabulary, increased general knowledge and a better understanding of other cultures.

As parents you can make a huge difference!
